Respectful support with grooming, bathing assistance, dressing, toileting routines, hygiene and daily living activities while protecting each client's dignity and privacy.
Companionship and Social Support
Friendly conversation, meaningful activities, reading, games, walks and social engagement that help reduce loneliness and support emotional well-being.
Light Housekeeping
Help with light household tasks connected to the client's daily living, including tidying, laundry, dishes, changing bed linens and keeping frequently used areas safe and comfortable.
Meal Preparation and Feeding Support
Meal preparation, light kitchen support, hydration reminders and feeding assistance where appropriate, with respect for dietary preferences, culture and faith.
Medication Reminders - Verbal Reminders Only
Care partners may provide verbal reminders according to the approved care plan. GOHSS does not prescribe medication or provide nursing medication administration through its non-medical service.
Safe Appointment Companion - Non-Driving
A care partner may accompany a client to appointments, errands or community activities using transportation arranged by the client or family. GOHSS is not currently offering a client-driving service.
Mobility and Movement Support
Support with safe walking, positioning and everyday movement according to the client's assessed needs, care plan and the care partner's training.
Respite for Family Caregivers
Short-term support that gives family caregivers time to rest, attend appointments, work or manage other responsibilities with greater peace of mind.
Family Communication and Care Updates
With client consent and proper authorization, GOHSS keeps designated family members informed about visits, completed tasks, concerns and important changes.
Scope note: GOHSS currently provides non-medical home support. Medical diagnosis, nursing treatment, injections, wound care, clinical assessment and emergency medical services are outside the current website service offering.
